Mark Hammil é um actor norte-americano (nascido em 25/9/1951, Oakland, California, USA) celebrizado pela sua interpretação de Luke Skywalker, na Trilogia Original de Star Wars. Filho de um oficial da Marinha dos EUA, viveu na Califórnia, Virgínia, Nova York e Japão. Formou-se como ator no Los Angeles City College, e estreou-se no "The Bill Cosby Show" em 1970. Participou em séries como "General Hospital" (1963), como Kent Murray, e "The Texas Wheelers" (1974). No cinema, a fama chegou, depois de fazer vozes em "Wizards" (1977), com o papel de Luke Skywalker em Star Wars Episódio IV: Uma Nova Esperança (1977), Star Wars Episódio V: O Império Contra-Ataca (1980) e Star Wars Episódio VI: O Retorno do Jedi (1983). Durante o interregno entre os episódios IV e V, Mark sofreu um grave acidente de carro que o desfigurou. Com ajuda da cirurgia plástica, conseguiu recuperar-se mas as marcas ainda eram vísiveis em "O Império Contra-Ataca". Após o final da trilogia, não logrou manter-se como uma grande estrela de Hollywood, ao invés do seu colega Harrison Ford, que interpretava o papel de Han Solo. Participou em peças de teatro na Broadway e em alguns outros filmes com pouco destaque, e atualmente dá voz ao Coringa numa série animada do Batman e em jogos.
